Conferences, Training and Masterclasses
We currently offer conferences, masterclasses and various levels of training in each of the Key to Learning modules or the overall approach. These are tailored to the individual needs of each client. Current clients vary from Government Ministries to individual educational establishments. Audiences can range in size from 5 to 500.
While Galina is happy and experienced in travelling to any part of the world, we also have experienced trainers and partners in several international locations – you can view our regional partners here. There is usually a need to book at least 3 months in advance.
We have extensive experience worldwide conducting all of the types of training below:
Normally these are one day in length and focus on a general introduction to the concepts of Vygotsky, Key to Learning and its application in the classroom. Depending on the size of the conference, there will be a degree of interactivity. These one-day conferences are also a prerequisite for any future training in the Key to Learning curriculum.
Educational centres that purchase the curriculum require training to implement the modules. The length of the training depends on the number of modules and the needs of the client.
Often clients want to focus on a particular aspect of the curriculum or approach, or a specific module and for this we offer masterclasses. For example, masterclasses for Mathematics, for Story Grammar or for self-regulation. These are normally 3 to 4 hours in length.
Train the Trainers
Galina typically starts the process of training the trainers, in collaboration with our local partners, who then continue that training and provide follow-on support as needed. Training trainers allow for a much larger number of teachers to be trained and supported in any given regional area.
